Music Monday: Shakey Graves

Better late than never. I’ve finally started listening to Shakey Graves and I’ve gotta say I’m so happy.

Alejandro Rose Garcia AKA Shakey Graves, singer-songwriter plays a combination of blues and folk in his one-man-band. Playing a hollow body guitar, mildly distorted amp and suitcase drum all on his own

His first full-length album, Roll the Bones, which he released in 2011, helped him land a spot in the Railroad Revival Tour with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Mumford & Sons and Old Crow Medicine Show. Although he’s still quite unknown in the mainstream world, his unique voice and sound will surely gain more popularity in the years to come.

~yeah so it goes
yeah so it goes
that sweet heirloom
them abbey stones

oh take a chance and roll the bones
cut off your hair
unplug your phone

yeah and sell your belongings
all your clever drawings try to make a dollar
from the grave
but whose  to blame~
